Mary Bernard Art
Southwestern impressionism. I like to create paintings with more realistic images that have dreamlike, surrealistic elements. I am particularly drawn to the desert’s flora and fauna. I like experimenting with foil, and mixed media.
Living in Southwestern Arizona, I get my inspiration by simply walking out my back door. Sunset or sunrise, the landscape changes dramatically in color, texture, and feel. I thoroughly enjoy watching the animals of the desert and their unique personalities which I then like to capture on canvas, wood or any number of backgrounds. I am so blessed to have coyote, bobcat, javelina, deer just to name a few wondering around. Plus amazing birds.
